Dastan Satpayev became a cartoon hero after his sensation at Chelsea

Tengrinews.kz — Kazakhstan national team winger Dastan Satpayev has become the latest protagonist in a cartoon by Iranian artist Hamid Sahari. In the animation, the Kazakh player is portrayed as Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso’s "secret weapon" for the upcoming season.

The cartoon begins with the managers of England’s biggest clubs—Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Manchester United—mocking Alonso’s attempts to train Chelsea’s aging leaders.

Everything changes when the manager presses a red button to summon his new weapon: Dastan Satpayev.

The 17-year-old winger is depicted with incredible speed and strength, at one point lifting a barbell—with Alonso still attached to it—using just one hand.

The rival managers are instantly silenced, and the cartoon concludes with Satpayev showcasing the name on the back of his Chelsea shirt against the backdrop of the Kazakhstan flag.

"Xabi Alonso and Chelsea's surprise—a 17-year-old forward from Kazakhstan," the animator captioned the work.

The video has already garnered 600,000 views on YouTube and nearly 6 million on Instagram within 24 hours.

The 17-year-old Kazakh talent has so far played only one public match for the London club. During the pre-season tour in Australia, he was named in the starting lineup against Western Sydney Wanderers.

By the sixth minute, the winger broke through one-on-one and scored with a powerful strike into the near corner. Video of his debut goal caused a sensation on Chelsea’s social media—the club hadn't seen a single post reach a million likes in a long time.
