Dastan Satpayev named player of the match in Burnley vs Middlesbrough

Tengrinews.kz — Kazakhstan national team winger Dastan Satpayev was named Player of the Match in Burnley’s English Championship clash with Middlesbrough. He started the game and spent 81 minutes on the pitch in the 1–1 draw.

Burnley played the fourth-round Championship match overnight on September 3, Kazakhstan time.

Burnley created their first real dangerous chance in the 14th minute. Satpayev unleashed a powerful shot from outside the penalty area, forcing the opposing goalkeeper to parry the ball away to safety, according to a report published on Burnley’s website.

In the second half, Burnley came close to taking the lead. Satpayev received a pass and went one-on-one despite pressure from Alfie Jones. However, Middlesbrough goalkeeper Radek Vitek managed to save the winger’s effort.

Satpayev was substituted in the 82nd minute.

Despite Burnley’s efforts to snatch a victory, Middlesbrough’s defense withstood the pressure and prevented the hosts from scoring again.

For the 18-year-old Kazakh player, this was his fourth appearance for Burnley and his third start.
