Kazakh athlete wins gold at table tennis tournament in the US

Tengrinews.kz — Kazakhstan’s Alan Kurmangaliyev has won a gold medal at the WTT Youth Contender international table tennis tournament in Spokane, United States.

According to the National Olympic Committee’s press service, Alan played four matches during the tournament.

The Kazakh athlete defeated Alex Lo of the United States 3–1, Abhinav Shirbhate of the United States 3–0, and Andrew Cao of the United States 3–0.

In the final, Kurmangaliyev beat Chulong Nie of Australia 3–1 to finish the tournament in first place.
