Kazakhstan vs India bouts bring Kazakhstan two Asian Championship gold medals

In the final bout of the under-80 kilogram category, Ubaidullakyzy faced Indian boxer Megha Sheokand. The fight went the full distance and ended with the Kazakhstani athlete winning by judges’ decision.

Thus, Aidana Ubaidullakyzy won the gold medal at the Asian U-19 Boxing Championships.

Another Kazakhstani athlete, Zarina Tolybai, who competes in the over-80 kilogram division, also fought against India’s Preeti Tokas. The judges awarded the victory to the Kazakhstani boxer by unanimous decision.

As a result, Zarina Tolybai added another gold medal to Kazakhstan’s tally at the 2026 U-19 Asian Championships.

As a reminder, the Asian Boxing Championships among athletes under 19 and under 23 are being held in Jakarta, Indonesia. The tournament will conclude tomorrow with finals involving the men’s teams.

Earlier, Kazakhstan’s first gold medal at the U-19 Asian Boxing Championships was won by Kamila Ospanova, who defeated Uzbekistan’s Maftuna Yangiyeva in the final.
