Kazakhstan wins first Asian Boxing Championship gold in bout against Uzbekistan

In the final bout of the under-70 kilogram category, she faced Uzbekistan’s Maftuna Yangiyeva.

After three rounds, Kamila won by judges’ decision with a score of 3:2.

It should be noted that the Ospanova — Yangiyeva bout was the first final involving representatives of Kazakhstan’s national team at the Asian Championships.

Today, two more girls in the U-19 category will enter the ring, as well as six representatives of the team in the U-23 category.

As a reminder, the Asian Boxing Championships among athletes under 19 and under 23 are being held in Jakarta, Indonesia. The tournament will conclude tomorrow with finals involving the men’s teams.
