The Satpayev effect? Burnley's account rapidly gains followers

Tengrinews.kz — Kazakhstan national team winger Dastan Satpayev recently joined Burnley on loan. The move helped the English club reach a new milestone in Instagram followers.

In roughly 36 hours, the audience of the club’s official account grew from 850,000 to 935,000 followers — an increase of 85,000.

As a reminder, after turning 18, Dastan Satpayev signed a long-term seven-year contract with London club Chelsea, running until the summer of 2033.

The London club then agreed to loan the Kazakh player to Burnley for the 2026/27 season. Burnley were relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season and will now compete in the Championship.

Note: In the 2025/26 season, Burnley finished 19th with 22 points and were relegated to the second tier.

According to Transfermarkt.com, Satpayev will wear the number 12 shirt.
