Tengrinews.kz — Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Kazakhstan's épée fencers on their historic achievement, citing a statement from Aybek Smadiyarov, Advisor and Press Secretary to the President.

The Kazakhstan men's national épée team won the World Cup stage in Casablanca.

Following this success, the Kazakhstani athletes have reached the top spot in the International Fencing Federation (FIE) world team rankings for the first time in history.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wished the athletes further achievements under the flag of Kazakhstan at the world's most prestigious competitions.

As a reminder, the Kazakhstan men's national épée team became the winners of the 2026 Asian Games in Japan this September. In the final match of the team tournament, Kazakhstan faced South Korea. The bout proved to be extremely intense, ending in a narrow 43-42 victory for the Kazakhstani side.
