Tengrinews.kz — Kazakhstani star Dastan Satpayev made his Chelsea debut in a friendly against Western Sydney Wanderers. Tengrinews.kz breaks down the Kazakhstani youngster's first match for the English giants.

Few could have predicted that when Xabi Alonso included Satpayev in the squad for the tour of Australia and Asia, he would feature him in the very first match—let alone in the starting lineup.

However, Satpayev himself seemed more than ready for the occasion. From the opening whistle, he showed confidence on the ball, taking the initiative and finding his chance to score a debut goal just six minutes in.

Satpayev's Chelsea Debut: How It Happened

Defender Ryan Cavuma-McQueen delivered a clinical pass to the 17-year-old Kazakhstani, who didn't disappoint. He beat his marker, broke through one-on-one, and fired into the near top corner to open the scoring. It is hard to imagine a better debut, perhaps only to be repeated in the Premier League itself.

After finding the net, Satpayev maintained his momentum: he was frequently on the ball, dictating play, shooting, and distributing. The Kazakhstani also initiated Chelsea's second goal-scoring move, driving the ball down the flank and finding a teammate in the box, where Walsh and Essugo eventually broke down the Australian defense.

While Chelsea's attack functioned well, the defense was prone to errors. As a result, the score was leveled at 2-2 by the end of the first half.

Alonso made two substitutions at halftime, but Satpayev remained on the pitch and continued to contribute. It wasn't until the 63rd minute, when Chelsea stars Cole Palmer, Joao Pedro, and Estevao were introduced, that the Kazakhstani was substituted.

The match ended in a 6-4 victory for Chelsea, with substitute Joao Pedro netting a hat-trick.

Chelsea fans already calling for Satpayev to stay with the first team

Judging by social media reactions, Satpayev's performance left a lasting impression on the fanbase. Scrolling past hundreds of Kazakhstani flag emojis, one can find plenty of praise from British supporters.

"We have our own Aguero now!";

"He's a quality player. He broke past the defender and took two out of the game at once";

"This Satpayev kid is a pure genius...";

"This is exactly the type of player we need. Straight to business!";

"He has to be in the first-team squad this season," they wrote on social media.

It is worth noting that Dastan Satpayev is only 17 years old, and there is a possibility that Chelsea may prefer to send him out on loan due to the high competition in the forward line. However, his performance suggests he could be an asset to the club as early as this season.
