Tengrinews.kz — Burnley head coach Nicky Hayen said Kazakhstan national team winger Dastan Satpayev is ready to return to the pitch in the team’s next match, according to the club’s press service.

The 18-year-old Kazakhstani has not played for more than a month, with his last appearance coming on September 3. He had been sidelined by an injury sustained in the match against Middlesbrough.

Burnley recently published several training photos showing Dastan working with the main group.

At a press conference, the Burnley coach confirmed the Kazakhstani’s return.

“Dastan is back, he is training fully and will be ready to take part in the match,” Hayen said.

This means there is a strong chance Satpayev could return to action as early as October 10, when Burnley face Watford away in the Championship.

Satpayev was one of the best in England but could not help the national team

As a reminder, the 18-year-old Kazakhstani has a long-term contract with Chelsea but is currently playing on loan for Championship side Burnley.

Dastan has made four appearances for his new club but has yet to score. However, in his most recent match against Middlesbrough, he was named man of the match for the first time and received a special league award.

The injury Satpayev sustained in that game prevented him from helping the national team in its Nations League matches. Without the national team’s most expensive player, Kazakhstan failed to win any of its matches and currently sits bottom of the standings.

Burnley have also failed to secure a victory in Satpayev’s absence. The team is bottom of the table with four points from eight matches.

Earlier, Kazakhstan national team and Burnley winger Dastan Satpayev resumed training with the team after recovering from injury.
